FAQs
frequently asked questions
What’s so different about you? Why should we use GetComparisons?
Our goal is to provide comparisons that are “point to point” in nature. We encourage our members to create content in such a manner and our format also helps in facilitating this concept. We believe that when web users search for a comparison, this is exactly the kind of information they are looking for. As such, what differentiates us is the quality our content, the fact that we provide the user with a pertinent answer in one single place (as opposed to a Google search which might throw up multiple sites that the user has to sift through to cull information from), and the fact that our content will be very easy to digest given the intuitive nature in which it will be presented.
What kind of comparisons can I find on GetComparisons?
Anything you can possibly think of (except of course illegal or offensive content). GetComparisons was created so people with knowledge of specific topics could provide meaningful comparisons on topics that most people normally spend a lot of time surfing around for.
Can my content be deleted?
If your content is offensive or illegal, it will be removed.
Do I have to be a member to use GetComparisons?
Nope. You can read our content as an anonymous user. However, there are some things you won't be able to do without registering. It's easy to register, registration only takes a couple of minutes (you just need to provide a Username, Password & Email ID) or you can log in via your existing Facebook or Twitter account.
Can I put up a request for a comparison that does not exist?
The most searched for comparisons automatically show up on the home page under “Most Searched Comparisons”. If a comparison already exists for that search, it will show up as a live link and you can click on it. Shortly we will also allow users to post comparisons that they would like to see answers for.
What are the “points” that I see on my profile?
Points for users - these speak to the quality & quantity of the work by the user:
- Write a comparison for a requested comparison: 4
- Write a comparison: 3
- Write a comment : 1
- Request a comparison: 1
- If a member gets a new user to join through the invite system: 2
- Recommendations: 0.5
Community
As the GetComparisons community grows we will provide more and more control to the users. Such as the ability to flag inappropriate content, suggest comparisons that should be grouped together and tagging.
Can we contact you if we have more questions?
Absolutely! Email us at support@getcomparisons.com with any questions, comments or suggestions and we WILL get back to you asap.
